For the record, I returned with my brother to Cape Woolamai on the 15th of February and things definitely got better. Conditions were atricious with a strong easterly blowing and making casting very difficult but persistance paid off with a bag of about 6 or 7 good Aussie Salmon ranging from about 500g to a little over 2Kg. Most of these fish were taken on a blue surf popper and bites came in distinct waves as the schools of salmon patrolled up and down the beach. Although we would both have given just about anything for a bit of calm, we both came away thoroughly satisfied with the days work.
