Good work guys. It would appear that the trip has some interest from a few of the members. I though am like smelly and it is a bit far away for me to come down for a weekend. I look forward to watching how it all develops and then hearing about the trip

Apollo Bay has some nice inlets and estuaries to fish as well as some nice creeks a short diastance from town 7-10 kms.... For those of you who do not wish to fish salt water there is plenty of fresh to be done

Some things to do around Apollo Bay.....these are just a few

Rainforests,Walks,Waterfalls

There are numerous walks and self drive tours to help you explore this magnificent area. Maits Rest with its 300 year old trees, Triplet Falls for waterfalls., visit the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk.

12 Apostles

Just 30 minutes drive along the Great Ocean Road to the world famous 12 Apostles.

Great Ocean Walk

Start at Apollo Bay/Marengo and end at Cape Otway Lightstation along a coastal bushwalking track.

Marriner's Lookout

Take a drive 1.5km from Mobil petrol station towards Melbourne. Take the Marriner's Lookout Rd on the left. You can drive to the parking area at the top. There is a gate to a walking track that leads to the top. This is private property but is open to the public. About 100 -200m to top. Spectacular views of the coastline and the bay. Take a blanket to sit on.

Harbour Fishing

Excellent fishing at the Apollo Bay harbour. Both sheltered and open beach fishing within 200 metres from apartment

I thought that we were down to 11 Apostles now that London Bridge had fallen down, fallen down, fallen down

Unfortunately, much too far for me, but I hope that you get plenty from your neck of the woods participating.

Perhaps so, but there are reasons that make it far too far for me. There is no need for me to go into them, suffice to say, it is too far for me.
